Born in 1950 in Bâle, Bernard Guillot spends his time between Egypt and France. In his painting and photography, he conveys his sens of wonderment, riddle and timeless.
The Colombian photographer Leo Matiz (1917-1998), a close friend of Frida Kahlo as well as Diego Riviera, Gabriel Garcia-Marquez, provides sensitive images which are suffused with startling intimacy and the human value of each individual. His subjects are revealed in a powerful graphic composition, close to the aesthetic of Manuel Álvarez Bravo or Gabriel Figueroa.
Finally, the street photography by Jerome Liebling (1924 -2011) and Vivian Maier (1926-2009) truly captures the souls of the people. The show will include a selection of portraits of workers, children and passers-by which build a lively and passionate tribute to the America 1950s to 1970s.
